Yesterday, after reporting the devastating news of the Reese/Ryan split I began thinking of all the other leading ladies who have had their dreams come true on Oscar night, only to announce the breakup of their marriages just a few months later.
What's the deal? Is it that the husband or boyfriend can't handle the women's success? Is this something we can compare to the Sports Illustrated and In Style Weddings "cover curse"?! I'm sure these relationships were in trouble long before the Best Actress statuette graced the mantle, but I'm having a Carrie Bradshaw moment and just "couldn't help but wonder...".
Help me out folks... what do you think?

March 2001: Julia Roberts captures Academy Award for her role as Erin Brockovich.
June 28, 2001: Julia Roberts and long-time boyfriend Benjamin Bratt Split up.
And I'm sure there even more "before my time".
