5 Things I love Now: The Target Edition - January 5, 2008

(Printer Friendly Version)

1. Method Gingerbread Spice Soy Candles: I'm addicted to the smell of these. They smell like a kitchen where women actually bake, or cook. I think I have about six of these going in my apartment right now, and it smells lovely. And apparently soy candles are better for like, the environment or something.

2. Gillian O'Malley lace boy shorts: I've written about my Target lingerie obsession before. These are my absolute favorite undies (other than hanky panky, of course). I have them in every color...and the bras to match.

3. Nick & Nora Pajama bottoms: I have these, and I LOVE them (ONLY because they didn't have the cupcakes at my Target...now I'm pissed). They're so comfy. I'm wearing them right now, actually. Would it be too pathetic if I wore them down the street to Starbucks to get some coffee?

4. The Wine Cube: The only thing I love more than good wine is good inexpensive wine. And as far as inexpensive wines go, this is pretty damn good. I buy wine from Target. Don't judge me.

5. Merona Tights: I've been living in sweater dresses all fall/winter, and I've gotten the cutest, most comfy tights. I hate buying tights because they never fit me. I've seriously contemplated creating my own line of tights for tall, thin girls with long legs, because I'm sick and tired of buying tights in the size I think I am, and getting them home to find the crotch hanging between my knees. And if I want to get a pair long enough for my legs, I have to buy Queen (and seriously? no woman wants to buy Queen). Then I get home and find that the top of the Queens come all the way up to my tits. I can't be the only girl out there with this problem... But the Merona tights? They're not that bad.

So go forth, my bitches, and purchase.

Target is quite possibly one of the greatest department stores on Earth. I miss it.
I have the same problem with tights too. When I complain, I'm told that 'they're supposed to be like that'. Which obviously isn't true...so full speed ahead on the creating your own line.

LOVE the Nick and Nora flannel jammies! I highly recommend them to everyone. Plus, they get better with age and washing.

I'm pretty sure the same company that makes Victoria's Secret stuff also makes the Gillian O'Malley line. Also, Hanes makes VS's panty hose. Just a little tidbit!

Spanx has reversable tights that fit me perfectly (I'm 5'9", 120 lbs. = tall and thin, just like you). Added bonus: I bought mine in 2005, wear them at least once a week, and they have never snagged, ran, torn, unraveled, etc.

Spanx, Trixie. Spanx.
