And the January funk begins... - January 3, 2008

(Printer Friendly Version)

I hate January. I guess I hate February too. The weather in Chicago is shit (although, I'd still rather be in Chicago with shit weather than most other cities in the country), and there is nothing to look forward to. President's Day? Groundhog Day? Black History Month? Hey! This year is a leap year, so there's that. Wait...that mean's February is a whole day longer. Fuck leap year.

This morning marked the start of what I like to call the January funk. Starbucks is back to their normal cups. That's right...the holiday season is officially over with. It's a little depressing. As glad as I am to be back into a routine (work, gym, eat salad, go to bed early, rinse & repeat), there's something seriously depressing about the holidays being over with. Maybe it's because I know I won't see family members for a long time.

Or maybe it's because I'm broke and can't shop...
